A Mother's Note
"We were shocked at the huge information gap (perception vs reality) that existed around the donation process. When none of her four siblings were a donor match for Marina, her family & friends set to work holding donor registry drives across the country.
Because of the stress her illness created for her and her family, Marina wants to show other cancer patients waiting to find matching donors that they are not alone. We are creating a short film about her cancer and transplant journey, with hopes it will educate and encourage people to give of themselves to share life with a child or adult fighting over 70 blood cancers and diseases."
